Storm Chances Backing Off

Posted:

Only a few isolated thundershowers out there this evening as the cold front slides southward through middle Tennessee.  We do not expect any widespread rains, but more of the hit and miss variety.  Most of that energy should be south of Nashville by at least 8 o'clock.  Lows tonight will drop to the lower and mid 70s.

We should have a mainly dry weekend with the most likely areas to get any isolated t'showers being the Cumberland Plateau and southeastern corner of the midstate.

As far as heat relief goes... it's not much!  We will still get to near 90 degrees Saturday.. perhaps upper 80s east of town.  The humidity will back off ever so slightly, again especially east of Nashville.

Whatever relief there is... it doesn't last long!  You'll see what I mean at 10.
