GALLATIN, Tenn. -

Authorities are looking for a woman and her alleged getaway driver believed to be involved in two separate but similar thefts this week in Lebanon and in Gallatin.

Most recently, Gallatin police said the suspect, a white female with blond hair, stole a shopper's billfold outside the Food Lion store located on East Main Street.

The incident happened in broad daylight Thursday, around 2 p.m.

The victim reported the woman approached her from behind and snatched her billfold out of her hand, breaking the victim's fingernail in the process.

The billfold contained a large amount of cash along with some credit cards, police said.

The female suspect is believed to be between the ages of 25 and 35.  She was wearing jeans and a light pink t-shirt with her hair in a ponytail at the time of the theft.

She jumped into a dark blue, older model Honda with lots of rust on the body.

The car was last seen headed east on Hartsville Pike and was driven by a white male.

On Tuesday night, a suspect with a similar description attacked a shopper outside the Kroger store on West Main Street and stole her purse.

Anyone with information concerning the identity or whereabouts of the suspects is urged to call Gallatin police at 615-452-1313 or Lebanon police at 615-444-2323.
