SMYRNA, Tenn. (AP) - Police affidavits provide more information in the killing of a Murfreesboro man in which his girlfriend and her adult son are charged. Smyrna Police, however, are not yet publicly discussing motive in the slaying of Steven Eugene Carlton.

A state wildlife officer called police early Saturday and said a body was found at a boat dock on Percy Priest Lake. The body was later identified as that of Carlton, who was 38.

Police charged 20-year-old Ryan Allen Roe with first-degree murder. His 36-year-old mother, Christina Rosa Magaddino is charged as an accessory.

Both remain in the Rutherford County Jail.

The Daily News Journal reported the police documents state Magaddino called Roe to the apartment she shared with Carlton, but do not indicate why.
