Council member proposes Sylvan Park revitalization project
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Metro council member Jason Holleman recently proposed a revitalization project to the Sylvan Park neighborhood.
The proposed plan would give the west Nashville community a feel similar to the 12th South area.
Under the current proposal, a roundabout would be added at the intersection of Murphy Road and 46th Avenue.
Sidewalks and parallel parking spaces would also be added along the two streets.
"What we've done is put together a concept plan that now is open to the public, business owners and really anyone who is interested and involved in that area to make comments and offer suggestions and hopefully from there we'll develop a final plan that will be implemented for that area," Holleman said.
The plans are preliminary and will not progress until after the community has the opportunity to voice their input.
