Man caught sitting on Metro police car drinking beer

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Metro police arrested a man Tuesday night after he was caught sitting on a police car drinking a beer.

Officers said James Corley displayed slurred speech, had bloodshot, watery eyes and difficulty standing.

He also had a strong odor of alcohol "emanating for his person," the affidavit stated.

"The defendant was in no condition to care for himself," officers concluded.

Corley was charged with public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor.
