Multiple vehicle crash blocks lanes on I-40

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Eastbound lanes on Interstate 40 in Davidson County remained blocked on Wednesday night following a multiple vehicle collision earlier in the day.

The accident was reported just before 6 p.m. at mile marker 219, which is just east of the airport, in the area near Stewarts Ferry Pike.

Officials from the Tennessee Department of Transportation said the left lanes of the east lanes are blocked.

The roadway is expected to be cleared after Midnight.

At least one person is said to have received minor injuries.

No additional information was released.
