Police identify suspect in '09 murder case

John Sullivan was found shot outside his west Nashville home in 2009.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Metro police have identified a 32-year-old male as a suspect in the death of a man in January 2009.

Authorities say Quint Williams is responsible for the shooting death of 50-year-old John Sullivan.

Sullivan was found dead outside his west Nashville home located in the 2500 block of Booker Street.

Investigators previously said the murder may have been drug related.

Anyone with information on Williams' whereabouts is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.

Police said he is known to frequent the north Nashville area and has previous convictions for unlawful weapon and drug possession.
