LEBANON, Tenn. -
Lebanon police are seeking the public's help identifying and locating a man who robbed a local tax service and threatened to blow up the building with what was later determined to be a fake bomb.
The robbery happened just before 10 a.m. last Friday at the Advance Tax and Income Service located at 1012 West Main Street in Lebanon.
According to a news release, the clerk told authorities a white male wearing "something black" over his face and a gray poncho, entered the store and demanded money.
Prior to leaving, the suspect placed an object on the counter and identified it as a bomb.
He told the clerk not to call anyone or touch anything as he could detonate it from his location.
The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Anyone with information is urged to call Lebanon police.
