Motorcyclist hit, killed while turning onto roadway

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A motorcyclist was killed Sunday when the driver of a car pulled into his path in north Nashville.

Metro police said 54-year-old Andre Vaughn was hit around 4 p.m. while he was trying to turn onto Bellshire Drive from Dickerson Pike.

The driver of a Kia, 35-year-old Michelle Weddell, told police she did not see the motorcyclist.

Vaughn was taken to Skyline Medical Center where he died from his injuries.

Weddell was not injured.

Police said alcohol and drugs did not appear to be a factor in the crash.

No charges were immediately filed.

The investigation is ongoing.
