Big Improvement In Rain Deficit Plus Sunday's Forecast

Posted:

What a difference a few weeks make!  We are now 3.91" above normal in rain for the month of July.  And even though we are still below normal for the year, we were almost 8" below several weeks ago!

We even set a record yesterday (Saturday) for the most rainfall for July 14th when the airport received 1.68" of rain.  Many areas had 2-3" or more along with some localized flooding.

Today (Sunday) we will see some morning showers across the northwest half of Middle TN (including Nashville) that will be followed by some steamy sunshine in the afternoon with pop up style t'showers (50%).

Highs will be in the upper 80s, but near 90 southeast of Nashville where there will be more sunshine.

Starting Monday, rain chances will begin to go down yielding hotter temperatures.  Monday's chances stand at 30S% with highs in the low 90s along with very high humidity.

Tuesday and Wednesday's rain chances drop to 20% with highs in the mid 90s and a heat index of 100 or above.

We may see a front approach on Thursday and Friday increasing our rain chances by then.
