Decomposing body found in Antioch, Foul play not suspected

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

Metro police are investigating after a decomposing body was discovered Saturday afternoon in Antioch.

The body was found just before 4 p.m. behind a vacant house on Reeves Avenue.

Authorities reported there was a pair of white tennis shoes nearby in the grass.

The person's identity or gender wasn't immediately released.

Monday morning Metro police said an autopsy performed indicated no signs of foul play.

The investigation is ongoing.
