MARSHALL COUNTY, Tenn. -
A 26-year-old Madison woman faces felony drug charges after a state trooper seized 50 pounds of marijuana during a routine traffic stop on Interstate 65 in Marshall County on Friday.
Authorities said Twilia Dixon was initially pulled over for a speeding violation.
The arresting officer reported while speaking with Dixon he noticed the illegal drug on the passenger front seat.
During a probable cause search of the vehicle, authorities discovered approximately 50 pounds of marijuana packed into postal boxes.
Dixon was arrested and transported to the Marshall County jail.
She is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture, deliver or sell. She also received a speeding citation.
