Quite A Dent In The Drought! And The Weekend Forecast

Posted:

Although today (Saturday) we are seeing off and on showers & t'showers, Thursday's rains were steady and all day for most of Middle TN (northwest Middle TN was missed).

That was when that rare July low pressure center pushed across the mid state.  We don't usually get that unless a tropical system comes from the Gulf.

Check out the map of the rain that fell from 7am Thursday to 7am Friday.  Here is the drought monitor update and what's next.

WEEKEND FORECAST:

Today during the afternoon we expect a little more sun between the scattered t'showers (60%) with highs in the upper 80s and muggy.

Tonight, shower chances will drop to 30% with lows in the mid 70s.

On Sunday, though there will be a 50% chance for scattered t'showers, we expect even more sunshine mixed in with highs in the low 90s and very humid!
