CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -
Police are investigating a recent "smash and dash" burglary at a Kangaroo Market in Clarksville.
Officers responded to the market located at 1874 Memorial Drive around 3:45 a.m. Friday to find the front doors torn down and the store's ATM outside the building.
The ATM had chains attached to it and it was pulled out of the store, police said.
"This all occurred in less than two-and-a-half minutes," Police spokesperson Jim Knoll said. "They used the truck to break down the door and if you notice, the final part was individuals breaking in through the glass."
Several packs of cigarettes were missing, as well as an undisclosed amount of money.
Surveillance footage was recovered from the scene showing multiple suspects driving a white flatbed truck with stake sides.
"Everybody seemed to have their role and seemed to execute it fairly efficiently," Knoll said.
Police believe a two-tone white and gold Ford Explorer was also involved in the theft.
Anyone with information is urged to call Clarksville police's TIPSLINE at 931-645-8477.
