SMYRNA, Tenn. -
About 100 Nashville-based Guardsmen are scheduled to return from Afghanistan Friday.
According to a press release, 100 soldiers from the Tennessee National Guard's 230th Signal Company are scheduled to return home around 3:30 p.m. after being deployed in Afghanistan for a year.
The soldiers will be welcomed at the National Guard Volunteer Training site in Smyrna in building 681 and will complete out-processing.
More than 27,000 Tennessee Army and Air National Guardsmen have deployed since Sept. 11, 2001.
