Just a few showers this evening but WIDESPREAD, HEAVIER RAINS FOR THURSDAY!
Plenty of moisture in the atmosphere so with Low Pressure pushing north from Mississippi we are in for our most widespread rains yet tomorrow.
The rains will begin pushing north through southern middle TN during the wee hours of the morning and very near, if not in to Nashville in time for the morning commute.
This system could bring 1 to 3 inches of rain on Thursday alone. Many areas have had that much or more in the past few days, so puddles and ponding of water is likely on many roads. Be careful driving... slow down so you have reaction time to whatever may happen ahead of you.
Tonight's lows will be near 70 degrees, and it looks like we will only make it to the upper 70s on Thursday due to the rain and cloud cover.
The heaviest rains should be during the 1st half of the day, but we could get some heavy scattered t'showers in the afternoon and even into Friday.
Remember: rain is a good thing!!
