Jason Nicholson
Dustin Nicholson
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Two Tennessee brothers are in police custody for their alleged involvement in a multi-county theft scheme involving tens of thousands of dollars worth of stolen or traded vehicles, water craft and construction equipment.
Jason and Dustin Nicholson were arrested July 5 after Metro police officers joined Wilson County sheriff's deputies and Nolensville police officers in the execution of two search warrants at the Wildview Drive home of Dustin Nicholson and the Drummond Drive home of Jason Nicholson.
Stolen property was recovered from both locations.
The Nicholsons are alleged to have stolen property which they would then trade for other items or sell to unsuspecting persons, often through Craigslist.
Persons who suspect they may have been victims of this stolen property scheme are urged to contact Metro auto theft detectives at 615-862-7612.
Jason Nicholson, 27, a registered ex-con for multiple theft convictions, is in the custody of the Nolensville Police Department for outstanding indictments in that jurisdiction.
Dustin Nicholson, 19, was transported to Wilson County where he is in custody for the theft of a John Deer Gator.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges against both men are pending.
