New Mediterranean restaurant to open in Nashville - WKRN, Nashville News, Nashville Weather and Sports

A taste of the Mediterranean is soon coming to Nashville from South Florida.

Sardinia Ristorante is opening its second location along West End Avenue.

The new restaurant will be in the Park View Towers on 25th Avenue South, just off Elliston Place and across the street from Centennial Park.

Sardinia Ristorante has been featured on the Food Network and in Food and Wine Magazine.

They say their style of food is authentic, fresh and different.  Sardinia chefs make their own cheeses and use a wood-burning oven for meats and fish.

The new location is scheduled to open in early 2013.

Sardinia's current location is on Purdy Avenue in Miami Beach.
