Lightning seen throughout downtown Nashville Tuesday morning.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Isolated thunderstorms rolled through Middle Tennessee overnight Monday night, causing pooling on area highways.
A 50 percent chance of isolated thunderstorms is expected throughout the day Tuesday.
The storms, along with a mostly cloudy sky and light northeast breeze, will contribute to high temperatures only in the mid 80s.
Drivers are urged to be cautious as roadways are expected to be slick with pooling from the rain.
Macon and Clay county officials told Nashville's News 2 that some trees were down along some secondary roadways. Clay County also reported a few power outages in the area.
