COLLEGE GROVE, Tenn. -
A driver was rushed to the hospital Friday evening after a collision with a train in Williamson County.
The crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. on New Town Road off Horton Highway and south of College Grove.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said the driver of the vehicle was the only occupant and was taken by helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
A spokeswoman said the victim appeared to have non-life-threatening injuries.
She said the train stopped after the crash and did not derail.
The scene and since been cleared and the road and train tracks have reopened.
