Jamila Morris entered her parents to win a national radio contest.
Melvin and Mary Brack are among the three finalists in the contest.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
An Antioch woman remains hopeful her parents will be named the winners of a national radio contest.
Jamila Morris submitted a video to the Steve Harvey Morning radio show, which is heard locally on WUBT-FM, nominating her parents for a trip to Las Vegas to attend the Hoodie Awards.
"After 37 years of marriage, my parents never had the opportunity to go on a honeymoon and they've never been on a vacation before," Morris said in the online video. "Please help me send my parents from Nash-Vegas to Las Vegas."
The Davidson County resident said if her video is named the winner, she plans to give the trip to her parents, Melvin and Mary Brack of Nashville.
"My parents deserve this escape like I said before, every sacrifice did come to my parents expense and it's not just me and my brother that feel that way, but a lot of people within our community," Morris said.
Mary told Nashville's News 2 it is just an honor to be a contestant.
To win, Morris' video needs the most votes among the other two finalists.
Voting continues until Thursday at 10:59 p.m.
