NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Two teens were injured after their car collided with a pickup truck and struck a house Wednesday night north of Nashville.
The accident happened just after 9 p.m. on Baptist World Center Drive.
The grandmother of the 17-year-old driver told Nashville's News 2 the teens are lucky to be alive.
"I was thinking they had been injured seriously. Just looking at the car, it looks like it's totaled, so of course I thought the worst," she said, adding, "They were very blessed, very blessed."
The youths were rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.
The exact cause of the crash is under investigation.
It is unclear if the driver of the pickup truck suffered any injuries.
