Family displaced, safe following kitchen fire - WKRN, Nashville News, Nashville Weather and Sports

A fire that started in a kitchen displaced one Madison family early Tuesday morning.

The fire started around 1:30 a.m. at the Hampton Terrace Apartments off East Palestine Avenue in Madison.

Commanders said the fire started in the kitchen of one of the units.

The family made it safely out of the complex and fire crews on the scene had it under control before the fire could spread.

The apartment received limited damage.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was not immediately reported.

The American Red Cross is stepping in to assist the family.
