CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -
Clarksville police are continuing to search for a man who committed a strong arm robbery at a gas station on Saturday morning.
The incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. at a gas station located at 2350 Madison Street.
Authorities said the suspect walked into the store, purchased a cigar and paid with it with a $1 bill.
According to police, when the store clerk opened the register the suspect reached across the counter to take money from the register.
The clerk was able to intervene before a physical confrontation broke out between the store clerk and suspect.
The man, who is described as a black male around five feet, 11 inches tall, fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
He was last seen wearing white clothing, a dark jacket and orange hat.
