TDOT reaches halfway mark on bridge repairs

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The Tennessee Department of Transportation reached the halfway mark on the ongoing bridge repair work on Interstate 24.

Crews have worked for a total of seven weekends to install concrete panels.

TDOT officials said four separate crews are working around the clock during the weekend on the project despite the intense heat.

The $8.6 million project is expected to be complete August 31.
