However in Sumner County, the burn ban also includes the use of fireworks.
Unfortunately for fireworks sellers like Wallace Billington of TNT Fireworks, the issued ban is hurting his business.
"I can understand, it's nobody's fault, but I'd rather see them [county officials] take their chance," Billington told Nashville's News 2.
According to Sumner County's Web site, the ban was set in place as a safety precaution because of the extreme temperatures and near draught conditions.
Despite the ban, Billington said some customers will still set off fireworks.
"People look forward to it every year; this [4th of July] and New Year's Eve to get out and do their thing but with the ban it's going to have to be illegal if they do it unless they change the rules."
However, according to the county, the ban will remain in place until there is "substantial rainfall and lower temperatures."
Sumner County law enforcement agencies will be enforcing the ban and anyone who violates the ban will be cited.
