Clarksville man arrested for rape, domestic assault

Rufus Williams was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on a $65,000 bond.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

Clarksville police arrested a 35-year-old man on Wednesday on rape and domestic assault charges.

Police reported Rufus Williams raped a woman he knew around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The victim also reported Williams slapped her while the pair was in a vehicle together several hours later.

Williams was booked into the Montgomery County Jail for two counts of rape and one count of domestic assault.

He bond was set at $65,000.
