It's a record! 105 degrees in Nashville Thursday afternoon surpassed the old record high of 104 back in 1952. Most of our record highs during this last week of June are from 1952, so it was a scorcher.
Tonight, we will have clear skies and with the humidity still very low temps will slide into the lower 70s.
Friday brings more sunshine and soaring temperatures. Again, we expect 105 degrees in the afternoon which will break another record.
The triple digit heat takes us right through the weekend with humidity becoming more of a factor as well.
We will search for even the slightest rain chance in the 7 day forecast on News 2 at 10.
