Southwest plane forced to make emergency landing in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A Southwest Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing at the Nashville International Airport on Thursday afternoon.

An airport official told Nashville's News 2 the plane, a 737, landed safely.

The cause of the incident was not immediately released.

Officials declined to comment further on the incident.
