$75K missing from non-profit, Former president under investigation

DICKSON, Tenn. -

The former president of the Humane Society in Dickson County is under investigation after it was discovered $75,000 was missing from the non-profit organization.

Melissa Lee resigned from the position earlier this year.

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokesperson Kristin Helm said the missing funds was discovered during a routine audit.

Lee has not been charged.

The investigation is ongoing.

No additional information was released.
