CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -

A 19-year-old Clarksville man was arrested for a second time for theft of a motor vehicle.

Police said Willie Cole was taken into custody after he was found driving a stolen 1997 Isuzu Rodeo on Wednesday.

According to authorities the vehicle was stolen on Monday.

Officers reported they were called to an area near Stacker Street about a suspicious vehicle possibly dumping trash on the roadway.

Responding officers initiated a traffic stop after witnessing the driver of the vehicle, who has been identified as Cole, run through a stop sign.

Police said at the time of the stop, Cole and two other occupants jumped out of the vehicle and fled the scene on foot.

Cole was taken into custody following a short chase.

Police are continuing to search for the other two suspects. One of the men is said to have been armed with a BB gun at the time of the incident.

The weapon was found abandoned nearby.

Cole was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on a $26,000 bond. He is charged with theft of a motor vehicle and evading arrest.

Cole was placed on a three year probation last month for a theft of a motor vehicle and vehicle burglary.
