NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The Nashville West shopping center has been sold for $73.2 million.

Nashville West, LLC, a German real estate investment group, purchased the open-air shopping mall located off Charlotte Pike that includes stores such as Target, Dick's, Best Buy, Marshall's and Costco, among others.

Joe Parkes, co-developer of Nashville West, said the transaction "paves the way for us to complete the center and bring more great retailers and restaurants to Nashville's west side."

Developer Mark McDonald added, "Nashville West has been a fantastic success since its initial opening and it will only get better now.  We look forward to announcing our new retailers and restaurants later this year and anticipate that new construction will begin in early 2013."

Commercial Property 1 will continue to manage the 700,000 square foot center that includes a four-acre community park and seven restaurants.
