Police investigate 2 sexual assaults in Maury County

MT. PLEASANT, Tenn. -

The Mount Pleasant Police Department, alongside the Maury County Sheriff's Department is investigating two recent sexual assaults.

The first incident was reported on June 13, while the other occurred on Saturday.

According to authorities there are similarities in both cases; however they have not been determined to be related at this time.

The suspect or suspects is said to be a white male and is approximately five feet, seven inches tall to five feet, 10 inches tall and weighs around 200 pounds.

Authorities have collected DNA and evidence in each of the assaults which is being analyzed by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
