iPad renewal stations cut down wait time at DMV

Posted:
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security is using new technology in an effort to decrease wait times at area DMV stations.

Renewal stations using iPad technology and a specially designed app help provide a shorter wait time for drivers who need to renew or replace their licenses and are paying with a debit or credit card.

Currently there are 26 locations across the state which features the iPad technology.

Of those more than two dozen locations, three are in Davidson County at the Centennial Boulevard, Tennessee Tower and Hart Lane locations.

License renewal can also be done online and through the mail.
