WILSON COUNTY, Tenn. -
The westbound lanes of Interstate 40 in Wilson County were shut down Monday morning following a multiple-vehicle accident.
The accident occurred around 6:40 a.m. at mile marker 239.
Westbound lanes were shutdown for roughly 40 minutes while crews worked the scene.
Lanes have since reopened but traffic was expected to remain slow.
Eastbound lanes were unaffected.
The cause of the accident was not immediately known.
