Christopher Wadpole, 21, was arrested early Friday morning.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Metro police arrested a man after finding him inside a Nashville church alongside a runaway from Robertson County.
Police were dispatched to the church early Friday morning to investigate a possible burglary.
Upon arrival officers made contact with a female juvenile who told police that a man later identified as Christopher Walpole was still inside.
Police made several announcements inside the church and Walpole, 21, eventually surrendered.
When asked why he was in the church, Walpole stated he and the juvenile were staying there because of an argument he had with his grandmother.
Police searched the area and found two guitars and two amplifiers belonging to the church in an abandoned trailer on an adjacent property.
The girl told police that she and Walpole stole the items and intended to sell them.
Walpole was charged with burglary and contributing to the delinquency of a minor and booked into the Metro jail on a $15,000 bond.
