CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -
A 70-year-old Clarksville man was robbed Wednesday afternoon in the driveway of his Hadley Drive home.
According to police, the victim pulled up to his home around 4:30 p.m. and was approached by a male later identified as Jerome Patterson.
Police said Patterson, 30, asked the victim a few questions before forcing him against his vehicle.
During the struggle the victim had his glasses knocked off and the robber was able to get his wallet.
The robber fled on foot and got into a white car. The vehicle was located unoccupied a short time later.
Following an investigation, officers located Patterson at a nightclub on Ft. Campbell Boulevard. He was taken into custody without incident.
During an interview, Patterson admitted to taking the victim's property and told detectives he saw him at a store and followed him home.
Patterson was charged with robbery and booked into the Montgomery County jail on a $10,000 bond.
He has a lengthy out of state criminal history, according to police.
