Obviously, summer means business!! Mid 90s across middle Tennessee Wednesday afternoon were not near the record of 101 in Nashville set in 1953. We did hit 95 which is well above the 87 degree average for June 20th.
At lease humidity is still low so it will be comfortable tonight as the sun sets at 8:07 P.M.
Mainly clear skies overnight and eventually down to the upper 60s for lows.
Thursday will be another hot day with highs in the low to mid 90s. Sunshine will mix with a few more clouds as moisture increases. While chances are still low, we could begin to see a few afternoon showers or t'showers pop up and continue in the forecast through Friday afternoon. We need the rain, so let's do a rain jig!!
More hot weather for the weekend, but we are looking ahead to a bit of a cooler trend for next week.
We'll have all the details on News 2 at 10.
