MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -

Rutherford County sheriff's detectives and U.S. Marshals are seeking the public's help locating a man accused of calling in a bomb threat last month directed at a local judge.

A felony arrest warrant was obtained charging suspect William Moon, 51, of Tracy City, with making a false report.

Moon allegedly called in the threat to the Rutherford County Judicial Building on May 31 saying three bombs were in the building intended to kill Judge Don Ash.

The call disrupted court proceedings and closed the building for several hours while deputies, firefighters and bomb-sniffing dogs thoroughly searched the building.

No explosives were found.

According to detectives, Moon was supposed to be in Judge Ash's courtroom for a plea on charges of theft, vandalism, aggravated criminal trespassing and possession of burglary tools.

He failed to show up in court.

Anyone with information about Moon's whereabouts is urged to call Rutherford County Crime Stoppers at 615-893-STOP or 615-893-7867.

A $1,000 reward is being offered.
