Police investigate fatal accident in Brentwood

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. -

Brentwood police are continuing to investigate an accident that took the life of a Cane Ridge man on Tuesday evening.

The accident occurred between Chestnut Springs and Bluff roads around 6:30 p.m.

Authorities reported Billy Charles Huff was traveling east on Concord Road, when he crossed over into the west bound lane, left the roadway and struck a tree.

Huff and his passenger had to be extricated by Brentwood fire personnel.

Officials said Huff was treated at the scene for his injuries, but was pronounced dead a short time later.

Concord Road was closed for several hours following the accident.

The passenger's identity or condition was not immediately released.
