KINGSTON, Tenn. (AP) - The parents of a 28-month-old boy who starved to death last month have been indicted in Kingston on first-degree murder charges.
According to The Knoxville News Sentinel, 26-year-old Matthew Dotson and 25-year-old Amanda Dotson were indicted Monday by a Roane County grand jury in the death of Clifford Dotson.
Authorities during their investigation were told the toddler was often fed only once daily and was frequently kept restrained in a car seat inside the couple's mobile home.
The couple's 6-year-old son was placed in the custody of the state's Department of Children's Services.
