Summer's Knocking at the Door . . .

Posted:

The summer solstice occurs at 6:09 CDT Wednesday evening, but it already feels like it!

Temps drop slowly through the 80s until about 9:30 tonight and then overnight lows in the mid to upper 60s again under clear skies.

Wednesday brings more hot sunshine.  We forecasting 93 degrees for the high temperature.  The average high for the first day of summer here is 87 degrees... the record high is 101 set in 1953.

We are searching for rain chances but not coming up with anything substantial.  We will talk about scattered shower possibilities for Friday tonight on News 2 after the NBA "weather" finals game.

Is it Heat or Thunder? ;-)
