CLEVELAND, Tenn. (AP) - Two defendants charged with tossing a large fan motor over an interstate overpass and hitting a bus full of Lee University students were sentenced to four years in prison each in a McMinn County courthouse.
The Cleveland Daily Banner reports that 20-year-old Jeremy Michael Mulkey was sentenced on Friday for vandalizing the Cleveland Municipal Airport and for throwing the fan onto the interstate in November 2010.
Twenty-year-old Casey entered a plea agreement earlier and was also sentenced to four years. A third defendant, 21-year-old Barry William Burbank, faces a hearing in July.
A bus driver suffered minor injuries when the motor crashed through the bus windshield while Lee University students were aboard.
