NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
Metro police say a blown tire is most likely to blame for a rollover crash on Interstate 24 near LP Field in Nashville Monday afternoon.
Officers said the car was traveling in the fast lane around 1:30 p.m. when a tire blew causing the vehicle to strike a retaining wall and flip upside down.
The vehicle overturned several times before coming to a rest at the bottom of the entrance ramp from Shelby Avenue.
The driver of the car was not seriously injured but taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The interstate was blocked for a short time.
The car has since been towed and all lanes of I-24 reopened.
