DICKSON, Tenn. -
A Dickson County man was taken into custody Thursday for second degree murder after providing prescription drugs to a girl in her 20s.
Robert Ford was arrested around 1 a.m. in the 1000 block of Ridgecrest Drive in Dickson and was booked into the Montgomery County Jail following a June indictment by a grand jury.
Ford was accused of murdering 24-year-old Ashlee Garner in August 2011. Police discovered her body at a residence in the
900 block of Charlotte Drive.
According to a press release, Ford and Garner had been at a party inside the house where alcohol and drugs were consumed, resulting in her overdosing.
It was then revealed that Ford provided prescription medication to Garner which resulted in her death.
Ford made $10,000 bond and was later released.
