NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A case of road rage ended with a shooting in the Antioch area Wednesday night.

This incident occurred in the 700 block of Bell Road near the Hickory Hollow Mall just before 9 p.m. as a man was flagged down for driving recklessly by another man walking with his two daughters.

Following an altercation, officials said the man walking pulled out a gun when he saw a knife in the other mans car. The driver denied having a knife.

Police said the armed man fired at least five shots toward the car.

The driver was struck in the lower back and received non-life threatening injuries. Officials did not immediately release the suspect or victim's identities.

Police later revealed that the man who was shot was not pressing any charges.
