Jackson teen dies from swimming pool incident

JACKSON, Tenn. (AP) - Jackson police say a teenager has died as a result of an incident June 3 at an apartment complex swimming pool.

Fourteen-year-old Jewel Forman died late Monday night at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis where she had been in critical condition since being pulled from the pool. The case has been ruled an accidental drowning.

Officers said she and her 13-year-old cousin climbed a wall that enclosed the pool and she entered the water alone. She could not swim.
