Qwentin Banks is charged with aggravated assault.
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -
A 20-year-old Clarksville man sustained a gunshot wound to his left side on Sunday night during an alleged drug deal.
The victim, Harley Bronaugh reported to police that he was shot by a man who identified as Qwentin Banks.
Police said Bronaugh met Banks at Alma Lane just after 6:30 p.m. to purchase an unknown amount of Roxicodone pills.
During the transaction, a verbal argument broke out between the men.
Banks is said to have fire one shot at Bronaugh.
Bronaugh was airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville where he underwent surgery. He was last listed in stable condition.
Banks, 21, surrendered to authorities on Monday morning.
He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail. He is charged with aggravated assault and remains jailed on a $15,000 bond.
