NASHVILLE, Tenn. -
A pedestrian was fighting for his life Sunday morning after a hit and run in Madison left him seriously injured.
The incident happened shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday night.
Investigators said the pedestrian, identified as James Houchin, 68, was crossing State Route 45 at Delaware Avenue when a white Chevrolet Impala struck the victim.
Witnesses said the driver of the car did not stop after hitting Houchin.
The car was described as having one headlight out and a bumper that drags the roadway.
Houchin was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
