Police: Motorcyclist strikes pedestrian crossing Woodland St.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A pedestrian was in critical condition Friday after being struck while crossing the Woodland Street Bridge.

Metro police said a motorcyclist struck the pedestrian who may have been in the roadway.

According to reports, the motorcycle rider was trying to pass a Gray Line bus when the accident occurred around 12:30 a.m.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The motorcyclist was not seriously injured.

Woodland Street was closed for about an hour while police investigated the incident.
